For more than 35 years Footman James has provided specialist car insurance to owners, collectors, restorers and traders. Its policies are tailored specifically for classic and collectible car ownership, which is why they all come with show and event cover as standard.

Clients can further tailor their policy to suit their own needs by choosing from a range of additional options, collectively called FJ+. These include Agreed Value, Nil-Deduction Salvage Retention, FJ Rescue by the RAC and trackday cover. (Subject to terms and conditions). Footman James also provides insurance for competition cars, plus flexible multi-car policies.

Through its Private Client Insurance division, Footman James is well placed to offer owners of large collections policies to suit their particular requirements. Private clients also become part of the Chrome Collective, an exclusive club that allows its members access to highly sought-after complementary events and experiences.

The Intercooler and Footman James held their first joint event in September 2021. Run in partnership with GoldTrack and BARC, the track day at Thruxton was exceptionally well received by all who attended.
