Hello, my name is Stephen Harvey Sutcliffe and I’m an addict. I wasn’t always this way. Until recently I led a happy, uncomplicated life down on the south coast. But then I bought a modified car and started tinkering with it, and I haven’t been the same since.

Because the problem with buying and owning a modified car is that, once you begin the process, you have no idea when to stop. And with a Mk7.5 Golf R the opportunities to not stop are pretty endless.

Allow me to explain. I bought this car with no particular intention of modifying it, but then bought some different wheels and fitted a small roof spoiler, at which point I stood back and thought, ‘that’ll do. That looks a bit different without any of the design fundamentals going too far south. I’m happy with that, job done, enjoy.’
