Jason Cammisa
Journalist
Jason is an award-winning automotive journalist with a foul mouth, a predilection for being sideways, and a penchant for crotchety old cars that hate him. His 20-year career has led him from print magazines to websites to video. And may well lead to prison, given how he drives on camera.
If he’s not working on, driving, drifting, cleaning, reviewing, or otherwise playing with cars, Jason is sleeping.
Jason is the town trollop, having written for, or been on staff at, all four of the major U.S. car magazines. He racked up a couple hundred million YouTube views for MotorTrend before leaving the magazine world and concentrating on video full time.
His current work is to be found under the name of Hagerty, the classic-car insurance company, on YouTube, Tubi, Amazon Prime, Samsung TV Plus, and Spotify. If you prefer a glimpse into his rotted psyche, a carefully curated selection of his idiocy can be found on his Instagram.
First car:
My VW Scirocco 16V, which I’ve had since I was 21 years old
Professional hero:
Tiff Needell. Not the motorsports Tiff, but the presenter with the boyish, mischievous joy
Fondest driving memory:
Shipping that Scirocco to Europe for our 15th anniversary and spending the majority of 1100 miles at VMax on the Autobahn
