A Month In The Life Of: Porsche Panamera 4 e-Hybrid

I should say from the start that I was a bit worried about this one. That I wasn’t really sure a Panamera was quite right for a young turk like myself with a no prisoners approach to all aspects of life, and who refuses to compromise any aspect of his time on the road. I should, but I can’t. Truth is, I always knew the Panamera and I were going to get along.

No, I probably shouldn’t be admitting as much so early in the piece, but tempus fugit and all that, and it turns out I’m not as young as either I was or consider myself to be, and that the chance of spending a few weeks being gently swaddled in the near silent interior of Porsche’s most comfortable car was nothing like the affront to the 2026-specification Frankel belief-system as I would sometimes like to think.

Why does no one ever talk about Panameras? You don’t need me to explain to you why people can’t stop banging on about 911s, Caymans and Boxsters – I’m the worst offender I know. People in my line of work talk incessantly about the Taycan though, sadly, not always for the right reasons these days, while the SUVs are so ubiquitous it’s hard to get away from their presence.
