I live in America. I am an American. But before you think less of me, know that I own a Rover SD1. I’m one of you. A masochist.

This is the first installment in a small series where I chronicle my attempt to rescue, protect, and preserve a Persian Aqua-coloured remnant of British Leyland that found me back in 2023. In the process, perhaps I’ll make myself feel better about all the things that’ve gone horribly wrong.

But first, I owe you an explanation on why I’d bother with an SD1.
