Our Cars: DMC DeLorean

When I arrived in disgrace on the back of an RAC flatbed (for the second year running), the last thing I expected was to leave the annual owners meet with the prestigious trophy for Most Powerful DeLorean, after practically melting the rollers on the hired in dyno.

This unlikely turn of events came about after stealing some Volvo upgrades from a fellow owner, smashing my previous year’s OE-busting 137bhp and roaring to a title-claiming 153bhp.

Prepare yourself then, for an ode to the misunderstood, unjustly maligned, Le Mans record-holding V6 PRV engine (that acronym resulting from the engine’s co-development between Peugeot, Renault and Volvo).
