My apologies to those tuning in expecting to read one of the regular Man Maths we tend to publish on a Saturday, but for this week only, I am hijacking the spot because we have important news. Normal service will be resumed next weekend, I promise.

But what I have to say affects everyone reading this, whether you are one of the thousands of people who already subscribe to The Intercooler, or one of what I suspect are many thousands more who’d like to, but feel the price asked does not quite fit their pocket.

So we’ve made the price smaller – 25 per cent smaller in fact. As of now, the price of a monthly subscription is just £6, down from £8, while an annual is just £60, down from £78. If you already subscribe, you’ll pay the new price from the moment of your next monthly or annual payment, so the cost of enjoying all The Intercooler has to offer is coming down for everyone, not just new customers. And, no, this is not an ‘introductory’ offer which will go straight back to where it was as soon as we think we can get away with it. It is the new price, period, for everyone and for as far into the future as it is sensible to look.
