Our Cars: Henry’s Escort

The keys on my laptop feel a little heavier this evening. My poor, soft southern digits have been tired out and are now shying slightly at the effort required to press small square pieces of plastic.

I think there might be the earliest hint of a blister on one of my palms too. You see, today I engaged in manual labour. Hands more used to holding a heated steering wheel instead wielded a heat gun, because I actually did some work on my rally car.

A brief recap: just over ten years ago I bought a Ford Escort Mk2. And that’s pretty much the story. Alright, there was a second in class in the Woodpecker Rally in 2014 and one stage of the same rally in 2017, but other than that there isn’t much to tell. Which is a sorry state of affairs.
