Millbrook Proving Ground turns 50 this year. This pocket of Bedfordshire close to the M1 is where car engineers hone forthcoming cars and test them to destruction, and where car journalists assess them much later on. Occasionally to destruction. On a page on the Millbrook website dedicated to the anniversary, a certain A. Frankel is quoted as saying: ‘So many memories I could write a book about the place.’ Maybe that’s a topic for a Ti podcast.
