Three years at Evo magazine as Road Test Editor followed, after which he contributed to Autocar and PistonHeads for a number of years.

Dan co-founded The Intercooler with Andrew Frankel in 2018. He was the proud owner of an Alpine A110, but it made way for a VW Golf GTI Performance Mk7.5 (manual, tartan seats…) in time for the arrival of his first child. The Golf has since been replaced by its baby brother, the Up GTI.

Professional hero:

Fondest driving memory:

A Maserati MC12 Corse at the Balocco test track in teeming rain. Frightening but unforgettable

“Supercars are wonderful, but these days I crave lighter, nimbler cars that are fun to drive at sub-ballistic speeds. The Alpine A110 is a good example, as are the brilliant Toyota GR86 and Ford Fiesta ST. Mind you, I do like Italian V12s..."
