I’ve been waiting for this car for a while. The first BMW M8 was meant to appear last century, complete with a four-cam, 48-valve 5.6-litre V12. The car was made and tested, spy photographs were seen. As the successor to the fabled M635 CSi, we got quite excited. But it never happened. The global economy was in bad shape in the mid 1990s so BMW canned the car, although it kept the prototype.
