Leader: Making the most of our upgrades

Dear Subscribers

A quick letter to you all and for two reasons, the latter falling squarely into the ‘boring but important’ category.

Firstly I wanted to bring you up to speed with everything we’ve been doing behind the scenes for the last many months, which have resulted in what we think is the biggest step forward Ti has taken since we launched the website and app, and before I get into that I also wanted to thank those who have pointed out that the app has been running a little slower than normal of late. We are aware of it, we are on it and both hope and intend to have it back at full throttle in the very near future. In the meantime, your forbearance is very much appreciated.

I know too that a few of you have enquired about the possibility of downloading stories for reading offline while on aircraft and so on. For reasons that would be too tedious to explain even if I understood them myself, providing this service turns out to be a whole heap more difficult than we would like. We have no news as yet, but it is being actively investigated by people who do understand the issues and as soon as we have anything to tell you, we’ll be in touch.
