We all know about oversteer and understeer – or at least we think we do. But what really matters when it comes to steering, handling and how the car feels? We’re not talking about handling at the limit because hardly anyone spends any time there, but what we call the ‘transients’.

But let’s start with the ‘Three Degrees’, and for those now hoping I’m going to launch into a lengthy discussion of the virtues of an African-America all-female soul group formed in the 1960s, I fear I may be about to disappoint you.
