Last month, when the first trailer of the documentary about Michael Schumacher was released, I wrote a piece about my hopes and fears for it, which you can read here. But in essence I said that it had to be a proper story of his life, ‘not just the real Michael Schumacher, but the whole Michael Schumacher’ as I put it at the time.
But I also said that owing to the fact the documentary had been made in association with the family, I would watch ‘more in hope than anticipation that the Schumacher family provides a 360-degree view of this man I admire so much.’
