Tati Reed

Adventurer

Despite amassing more than half a million social media followers thanks to her @overintherover Instagram account, where she diarises her travels and travails with her beloved Land Rover 90, Tati is very much at the start of her career. She makes content showing all aspects of Land Rover ownership and adventuring, with the goal of breaking down less and adventuring more, while accidentally teaching herself mechanics in the usually vain attempt to keep her Land Rover running.

Tati has a learn-by-doing approach to life and tries to ask all the stupid questions. Her love of cars has grown out of her adventures in the Land Rover. Cars are not just about what they are, but the places they take you and the people you meet when you get there. They are bonding, exciting, endlessly fascinating and occasionally infuriating devices; the really good ones smell great too.

Her university dissertation ‘How the diaspora of Land Rovers reflect events in world politics’ was an interesting project for Tati personally, less so for the markers…

First car:

A Peugeot 206 hand-me-down from my granny. But it was quickly decided that me having no experience and it having no ABS was perhaps not a great combo

First race:

Against a bicycle on the flat in my Land Rover. The bike won

Fondest driving memory:

My first road trip bumbling around Europe in the Land Rover, breaking down, eating peaches, and overheating with nowhere really to be

"The opportunities social media has brought me have been incredible. I am lucky enough to have test driven everything from a Suzuki Jimny to a new Porsche 911 GT3 RS. And I’ve been invited to events like the Goodwood Revival, the British Grand Prix and even the F.A.T. International Ice Race in Austria. These experiences have deepened my interest and hunger to learn about cars and ensured a desire to keep exploring everything the car world has to offer"
