We’re delighted to share news of our next live podcast recording, which will take place at London’s Battersea Power Station on the evening of 18 September 2025. Our guest for the night will be two-time British Touring Car Champion and long-serving Fifth Gear presenter Jason Plato.

With only 50 tickets available, this will be an intimate evening in the company of the BTCC race win record-holder. You will find the link to tickets, which cost £50, below. The ticket price includes drinks and canapés, a Q&A with Jason and more.

Plato burst onto the BTCC scene with Renault in 1997

We are hosting the event in partnership with Renault, with whom Jason burst onto the touring car scene as a works driver in 1997. In many ways he owes his professional career to Renault, for without the Renault Sport Spider series, which he dominated in 1996, he never would have landed a factory drive with Renault in the BTCC for 1997.

He raced for Renault for three seasons, before racing for a further 20 for numerous other manufacturers and privateer teams. During that long career, Jason won a record 97 BTCC races.

The evening will include an opportunity to get up close and personal with the new Renault 5 Turbo 3E, the astonishing 550bhp electric super hatch. Doors open at 6pm with drinks and canapés served until the start of the podcast recording at 7pm, with a Q&A with Jason to follow. The evening will come to a close at 9pm.
