BMW M3 Competition review

Before we get stuck in, I want to make you a promise: I won’t let the appearance of the new BMW M3 colour my assessment of it. I don’t particularly like the way it looks...

The Nissan Z and no regrets

I have tried to feel gloomy about the new Nissan coupe not coming to the UK, but so far I haven’t managed it. The seventh-generation Z-car was unveiled this week in New York...

In the end, it’s all about the cars. Driving them, photographing them and sharing the experience with all of you right here is the very backbone of The Intercooler. Of course, we do a great deal more as well and that won’t change, but the cars will always be the stars around here. And it stands to reason that the more interesting the cars, the better the stories.

We already borrow them old and new from manufacturers, dealers and friends, but we want to cast the net further and wider. So if you own something interesting and you think we need to have a go in it, this is your chance to let us know. We’re not looking for anything specific. It can be brand new or decades old, fast or slow, sporty or not, valuable or worth buttons, just as long as it’s unquestionably the sort of car The Intercooler subscribers want to read about.

We will travel a fair distance for the right car, cover your expenses, make our photographs available to you and let you peek behind the car magazine road testing curtain. We are insured and while we will exercise your car as you’d expect, we won’t thrash them needlessly.

The Honda NSX shifted the course of supercar history in general and Ferrari in particular, as Gavin Green, the first UK journalist to drive it, now recalls

You can tell us all about your car or cars in the comments, or email us at info@the-intercooler.com. We will read and consider every single submission, but please note that we won’t be able to respond to them all and fewer still will ever make it onto the digital pages of The Intercooler. If emailing, please send a few photographs too.

In many cases you’ll want us to wait until spring before wheeling your car out, which is absolutely fair enough, but there’s no harm in making plans ahead of time. Besides, there might yet be a few weeks of fair weather before winter really sets in. So don’t delay!

Thank you, as ever.
