If anything should do what it says on the tin, you’re looking at it. It’s a Defender, which we love, with a supercharged V8 under its bonnet which doesn’t sound exactly terrible either. It’s got 518bhp, only 60 fewer than a Mercedes-AMG G63, but it’s yours in long or short wheelbase form for around two thirds the money.

Very little not to like here it would seem. But not so fast: I’m quite partial to cornflakes and ketchup, but that does not mean they belong in the same bowl.
