Having already annoyed the Alfisti, this article is bound to make all the Golfisti (Golfers? Golffreunden?) out there grind their collective teeth.

How could anyone claim that the Volkswagen Golf is not a great car? After all, 35 million people over five decades have disagreed strongly enough to buy a new one. This places the Golf third on the list of best-selling cars of all time, behind only the Toyota Corolla (50 million and counting) and the Ford F-series of pickup trucks (41 million to date).
