On the surface, it’s quite hard to work out what kind of car the new Ford Puma ST is, or even wants to be. Not really a hatchback, nor quite an SUV, is it even the sharp driving machine that ST badge suggests it is? It’s hard to see. Higher, heavier, slower, more thirsty and costlier than the Fiesta from which it is derived, it has all the hallmarks of being yet another crossover trying to be all things to all drivers and consequently failing in every regard.
