How’s this for a headline in a press release? ‘Infinity lemniscate symbol continues to codify noir expression of Rolls-Royce’. Nope, me neither.

I can’t remember when I last went to the launch of what is, after all, a simple derivative of a still quite new car and found myself so bamboozled by the language with which said car was described. Among a number of new phrases I have now added to my unexpectedly limited vocabulary I have now added ‘murdered out’, which is not in fact the act of dispatching someone in al fresco surroundings but, according to what describes itself as an urban dictionary, ‘when a car is completely modified and the color (sic) black is the only color used throughout the entire vehicle.’
