If the rumours are to be believed, and they absolutely are, very soon your social media feeds are going to be flooded with links to reviews of Ferrari’s most hotly anticipated model in years, the Purosangue.
We already know pretty much all there is to know about the car save the most important thing of all: what it’s like to drive. But be assured, when that moment comes or rather when Ferrari lifts the news blackout to which all journalists had to agree before driving it, we’ll be first in line with our review.
The reason for all this anticipation is clear: brand new model lines from Ferrari are pretty rare, while brand new model lines in brand new sectors for the company are vanishingly scarce. We can argue at length as to whether it’s an SUV or not – its dimensions suggest it’s closer to being an elevated sporting four-door coupé than a conventional SUV – but what no one can dispute is that this is the first Ferrari ever to go on sale which enables you access the rear seats directly through a door.
